1. Posters and notes

  • Please make your own notes covering the material on all the reproduction posters on the walls in 219. Carol and Laura should have their poster finished by the end of the 5th Feb. You can either make notes from each poster or simply copy down each posters entire content. Andy - you need to make sure you copy down your own poster as well - don't think because you made rough notes they'll do!

  • Also make notes on the placenta and physiological changes to the mother during pregnancy

  • the remaining two posters need finishing - I have chosen some of you to complete this. Please finish the posters ASAP and use your specification to see what level of detail is needed.

3. Synoptic Biology Powerpoint presentation

  • The task is to produce two good presentations on the topics you have been assigned

  • – last time we did powerpoints there were some excellent ones (brain, synapses – & some good ones, vision)…but there were some poor attempts as well.

  • This task is not a gap fill. It’s to help you get to grips with areas of biology that you haven’t looked at for a bit but will come up in the summer exams.

  • If you want you can make models to illustrate the powerpoint. If you are interested in this see the first year task for further details. You could also draw pictures (say for instance in the art room) and then scan or photograph them.

  • There are computers in the LRC, room 218 (rock room), room 221 and elsewhere in college – if you are stuck on using powerpoint the LRC ladies will help your group.

  • You could produce some excellent work – use you creativity!

The task is due in for my return dates on www.mrothery.co.uk Completed presentations can be burned to cd or mailed to me paternity@mrothery.co.uk the LRC ladies will help you burn to cd or transfer to my area of the college hard drive
